There are a ton of commentaries along the lines of “music editor/song writer/sound engineer X listens to Idol for the first time” on Youtube. They’re great fun, and often the commentary is really interesting.

Thanks for the heads-up!I somewhat became a fan of that class of videos earlier this year for other songs, so I'll have to hunt those down.
