The February issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine revealed on Friday that the television anime adaptation of Tadataka Kawasaki's Chio-chan no Tsūgakuro (Chio's School Commute) manga will premiere in April.
Kawasaki launched the manga in Monthly Comic Flapper in 2014, and Kadokawa published the manga's seventh compiled volume on September 23.
The "dramatic extreme going to school comedy" manga follows the titular female high school student Chio Miyamo, and her adventures to commute to school every day. Chio runs in to problems both big and small, such as construction, a biker gang, a sudden urge to use the bathroom, and more.
The manga won the "Flapper Award" at the ninth "MF Comics Awards."
Digital Manga's Project-H imprint published Kawasaki's I'm Coming with You! adult manga in English in 2014.
