Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!/Eevee! Games Sell 3 Million Copies Worldwide in 1st Week

The official Japanese information Twitter account for the Pokémon franchise revealed on Thursday that the Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! Nintendo Switch games sold an estimated combined total of 3 million copies worldwide in their first week. The post added that the games have the highest first-week sales for the Switch so far.
The games were the highest selling game in Japan for the November 12-18 week, with 661,240 copies sold.
The Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! games shipped for Nintendo Switch on November 16. The Nintendo Switch Pikachu & Eevee Edition, which shipped the same day, includes one of the games pre-installed and features themed Joy-Con controllers.
The games are set in the Kanto region of the first Pokémon games, and are specifically based on 1998's Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition. Similar to the main role-playing game series, certain Pokémon are unique to each version of the Nintendo Switch game.
