Kamisama Dolls' Yamamura Ends Oto no Kyōshitsu Manga
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The February issue of Takeshobo's Manga Life MOMO magazine announced on Monday that Hajime Yamamura will end the Oto no Kyōshitsu (Sound Classroom) manga in the next chapter. If publication continues as planned, the manga will conclude in the magazine's April issue. The series launched in October 2014.
The slice-of-life comedy focuses on a female cello instructor at a music college. The story tells about her interactions with students and friends.
The manga was previously published as a one-shot, but received serialization due to its popularity. The magazine publishes the series on a bimonthly basis.
Yamamura's Seven Edge manga is continuing on Shueisha's Garaku no Mori website after the Garaku.mag magazine ceased publication in August. Yamamura is also currently serializing the Aoki Ao no Atopos sci-fi manga in Shogakukan's Sunday GX magazine. She ended her Ten ni Hibiki manga in 2014.
Yamamura's Kamisama Dolls manga ended in 2013. The manga inspired a 13-episode anime that premiered in 2011, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
