A stage presentation at the "Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival" event revealed more details on Sunday for the collaboration project between Square Enix and Straight Edge. The project, titled Shin Kaku Gi Kou to 11-nin no Hakaisha (Shin Kaku Gi Kou and the 11 Destroyers), is a multimedia project that will include a smartphone game, a novel, and a manga. (Note: The kanji used in "Shin Kaku Gi Kou" means literally "God Corner Technique.") The game will launch in 2019, and will be free to play with in-game items available for purchase.
Voice actresses Ai Kayano (Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King's Shōko Hanashima, Land of the Lustrous' Diamond) and Ayana Taketatsu (K-ON!'s Azusa Nakano, Sword Art Online's Suguha Kirigaya), Straight Edge's Kazuma Miki, and Square Enix's Hiroaki Iwano appeared at the event.
The project stars:
Miyu Irino as Miyabi Blackgarden
Yuka Ozaki as Alma
Inori Minase as Alicia Blueforest
Kana Hanazawa as Helen Clockgear
Yūichi Nakamura as Moebius Entrance
Ayana Taketatsu as Celina Bodenburg
Ai Kayano as Eliza Silverstorm
The full cast features 40 voice actors and actresses.
The game's system will include adventuring with magic and swords, crafting items, building, and fighting battles. The game's main story will be fully voiced.
As previously announced, A Certain Magical Index light novel author Kazuma Kamachi and illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura are providing the scenario and character designs, respectively. Trigger (DARLING in the FRANXX, Kill la Kill) is producing the opening animation. MYTH&ROID (theme songs for Overlord, Re:Zero) is performing the theme song "Future is Mine."
Kamachi is penning the novel. The manga will launch on Square Enix's "Manga UP!" website on October 29.
Miki is the former editor-in-chief of Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko, and he founded Straight Edge in 2016. The company's focus is managing talent and producing content such as publications and animation. Contracted writers include Kamachi (A Certain Magical Index, Heavy Object), Reki Kawahara (Sword Art Online, Accel World), Tsutomu Satou (The irregular at magic high school), and Tsukasa Fushimi (Oreimo, Eromanga Sensei).
